Lauren’s room is definitely coming along! Do you remember Part 1? Take a glance and review the before–you will definitely appreciate all the work that is going into this room. Everything is thrifted/secondhand, from foreign travels, or homemade. Today, we just want to give you a little peek into the progress (it’s almost finished now!).
Lauren made these by using Modge Podge to apply a collection of tickets, pictures, and postcards of places that she has traveled and visited. I know. They are amazing.

The canvases are going over her desk, which she painted green. Lauren painted all of her furniture and is replacing the knobs.

She painted her dressers and nightstand a pale gray (also getting new knobs). And, check out this fish lamp!

Lauren and her mom are making curtains with this fabric that she found on a super sale.

This bedspread was secondhand and is oh-so-amazing. It has a very bohemian feel to it.

See the art above the bed, peeking into the picture? Prepare to be in love. Lauren is a wonderful artist. She adapted and painted this picture from one that she saw online. The first time I saw it, I dropped to my knees in excitement. Yes, I’m dramatic. Yes, it deserves a dramatic reaction.

You can see by the pictures that it is not finished, yet. But, it is definitely on the road to amazing. The whole room has a very artsy/traveler feel, which is exactly what Lauren was going for. I am definitely looking forward to the finished product! A fantastic room absolutely can be designed on a budget!
